I could write everyone day about how wonderful this inexperienced toshiba digital tuner dvd recorder is only won’t waste your time withy facts many won’t understand genuine saying i obtain be using 3 panasonic dvd recorders withy built within analog tuners for over 3 years. I received this unit within july when it became available and it is great. Look not further if you are looking for a dvd recorder withy a built within digital tuner. It works flawlessly, is priced below position of amazon and i obtain not had one coaster yet or had it not accept a particular brand of blank media even though i recommend sticking withy the superior tayio-yuden dvds made within japan. The panasonics were everyone picky about brands of blank dvds and the different formats they john be purchased within. I found this unit was pretty easy until set along and later than scanning for everyone available channels upon my cable system i was ready until go. The recorded results i comprehend later than recording upon any of the digital or high def channels are beautiful. To comprehend the best picture, i always record upon the alternate high def digital channel that is available upon everyone the major networks including 3 pbs channels upon my cable system. My one complaint is what another reviewer has mentioned, the horrible tiny, dull grey printing upon the dark black remote control! If only they had used bright white paint instead of the dull gray print upon the black case owners might obtain be able until see what command you are pushing. It is almost impossible until read without bright light within the room. I obtain learned until remember what button is which from memory only Toshiba DR570 DVD Recorder makes me crazy thinking if they had only used the same white print they placed upon the tiny buttons! I am sorry i cannot write more giving details about this recorder only you john comprehend that elsewhere. I will genuine tell you this product does what it is supposed until do perfectly and does it very well. I highly recommend this unit and the price has dropped since i bought mine within july making it even a better deal.
